The Role of Software Engineer
As part of our development team, you will be a key part of building the backbone of digital freight forwarding globally. You will coordinate building the required APIs and algorithms for price calculation, path finding, various search mechanisms, and more. You will work in close collaboration with Product Management and the frontend team, ensuring optimal team output in the backend team. Furthermore, you will analyze and make decisions on our code architecture to ensure system stability, optimal development speed, and ease of feature implementation
The development team works in a customized agile process that allows us to detect and react to requirement changes easily. We also put great emphasis on inter-team communication and efficient knowledge distribution.
Required Skills & Experience
- Fluent with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Testing is the only way you know how to write code
- You get your head around SQL and how to optimise Postgres
Bonus Skills & Experience
- DevOps (Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform)
- Experience with Geospatial queries (PostGIS)
- Familiar with optimising searches with ElasticSearch
